A New World Starting Point

Tamakkan Empowerment Ecosystem

There is no question that we are living in turbulent times, as well as in a perfect storm for positive change and global innovation.  A lot has been accelerated by the Covid pandemic, which forced us to adopt new ways of living and working. These years have also  presented us with a massive test bed  to explore new ways of doing things, and to question established norms and  the prevailing status quo.

Many technologies have emerged over the past few years that have made many things possible. Some of the disruption has taken hold while others have challenged entrenched thinking and old patterns but have not succeeded in transforming users.

Close on the heels of the Covid pandemic has been the Russian invasion of Ukraine, which has shifted geopolitical paradigms that are still unfolding, and will undoubtedly usher a reorganization of our world order. But regardless of the drivers of change, we must recognize that we have before us a once in an era opportunity to redefine human existence. We can, if we act collectively, transform our world for the better and enhance our stewardship over our planet.

I believe that an unshakeable starting point for a new, and better world is greater integration of humane and compassionate policies in the way we conduct our lives and our businesses.

We can do so much better to safeguard the common good with values like compassion and humanity towards a strategic purpose. Indeed we are on the cusp of radical technological innovations that are likely to redefine our relationships with each other and to transform the way we work, play and live. But before we can adopt these profound changes, I believe that we as peoples of the world, should agree on, and uphold, a new set of universal codes of principles and ethics that will pave the way to a better world.

I hold great hope that this time in our world provides an opportunity for positive change. For a long overdue correction that will help us shape a more prosperous, more equitable and more sustainable world.

The only way we can make that happen is if we work together as leaders, nation states and communities.
